Fluke P3023-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester – Without Pump Details

The Fluke P3023-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester – Without Pump can be used to calibrate pressure sensing instruments with ranges both within and below atmospheric pressure, it is available in three models. These models vary in regards to their pressure ranges and measurement units, for further information, please see the table below.

Product Code Product Name  Pressure Range Vacuum Range
P3023-KPA Fluke P3023-KPA Gas Dual Deadweight Tester Vac/Pressure to100 kPa - Without Pump 3 to 200 kPa 3 to 100 kPa
P3023-MBAR Fluke P3023-MBAR Gas Dual Deadweight Tester, Vac/Pressure to 1000 mbar - Without Pump 30 to 2000 mbar 30 to 1000 mbar
P3023-INH2O Fluke P3023-INH20 Gas Dual Deadweight Tester, Vac/Pressure to 400 inH2O - Without Pump 12 to 800 inH2O 1 to 30 in Hg

The Fluke P3023-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester can be used to check pressure sensing instruments such as transducers, transmitters, gauges and pressure switches. It is able to produce pneumatic pressure and vacuums via the attachment of either an external gas supply or a vacuum pump to its /NPT female port. The inclusion of a high-quality needle allows the user to make fine adjustments to the pressure or vacuum created.

Once a pneumatic pressure has been created the piston and cylinder assembly will begin to rise as a result of the upward force, this force may be counterbalanced via the addition of accurately calibrated weight masses. Each of these weight masses is inscribed with both the instrument’s serial number and the nominal pressure value relative to the high- or low-pressure piston. In order to determine the final pressure, these values are combined. For further information regarding this method, please see the video below.

Moreover, these accurately calibrated weight masses are made from series 3 non-magnetic, austenitic, stainless steel and may be stored in a secure and robust weight box for safe transportation between worksites.

Further to this, the Fluke P3023-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester is also supplied with a removable lid, which allows the tester to be easily transported between worksites, and a selection of 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 NPT and BSP and M20 and M14 metric adapters, as well as spare seals. These additional tools combined with the Fluke P3023-XXX’s test-station design with O-rings remove the need for PTFE tape or wrenches when attaching additional instruments. Also adding to this product’s ease-of-use is its adjustable feet and mounted spirit level, which ensures that it can be easily set-up within a variety of environments without compromising its accuracy.

In addition to this, the Fluke P3023-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester is supplied with an ISO 17025 accredited calibration certificate. Unless specified, this instrument is calibrated to standard gravity (980.665 cm/s²), however, it is possible to calibrate this instrument to the user’s local gravity. This ensures that the effect of the local gravitational force on the weight masses is accounted for, thereby improving the accuracy of this instrument from 0.015% to 0.008%.

Also adding to its accuracy is the piston and cylinder assembly with floatation indicator. This assembly has been constructed in accordance with the highest standards and as a result has certified accuracies traceable to international standards laboratories, such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).  It has been optimised to maintain stability and durability as well as limit the effects of distortion and thermal coefficients.

The Fluke P3023-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester – Without Pump may be used to accurately calibrate a variety of pressure sensing instruments optimised to measure pressure both within and below atmospheric pressure.
