FREE Flir Accessory Kit includes a Spare Battery, In-car Charger, Carry Pouch & Strap!
The FLIR E8-XT Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) is the upgraded version of the FLIR E8 Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) and, as such, includes the following improvements:
- Increased temperature range: -20°C to +550°C
- Greater sensitivity: <50 mK
Like its predecessor, this infrared camera can be used to identify faulty components and detect signs of failure before significant damage is sustained.
Thermal Technology
The FLIR E8-XT Thermal Imaging Camera has inherited a number of features, functions and imaging modes from its predecessor. These include:
- Three thermal palettes: black and white, iron, and rainbow
- Thermal Blending mode
- Thermal mode
- Digital Camera mode: view visible-light images captured by the integrated 640 x 480-pixel digital camera
- MSX® mode: overlay digital images onto the IR picture to enhance the image’s details
- Picture-in-Picture: a point-of-interest on the image can be viewed in greater detail without losing the overall field-of-view
Like the FLIR E8 Thermal Imaging Camera, this imager has a 45° x 34° field-of-view and an IR resolution of 320 x 240-pixels. Similarly, the FLIR E8xt Thermal Imaging Camera is also fully automated, focus-free and includes an adjustable emissivity (0.1 to 1.0) with a table of pre-defined materials, thereby allowing the user to adjust the infrared camera to suit the application.
Images are recorded as standard JPEGs with embedded temperature data, ensuring that they are easy to share with colleagues and clients.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
The FLIR E8-XT Thermal Imaging Camera also includes Wi-Fi connectivity, like its sister product, the FLIR E8 Thermal Imaging Camera. It is, therefore, possible to transfer images to a compatible smartphone or tablet, with the FLIR Tools App installed, via Wi-Fi.
The FLIR Tools App is ideal for editing and analysing thermal images, as well as creating and sending reports whilst in the field. This means that critical, collaborative decisions can be made without the thermographer having to leave the site.
Alternatively; the user can download images to a PC via a USB interface.
Ergonomic Design
Thermal images are viewable via the FLIR E8-XT Thermal Imaging Camera’s 3-inch, 320 x 240, colour, LCD display. The FLIR E8-XT Thermal Imaging Camera also features a simple button interface and intuitive menus allowing the user to navigate and access the camera’s features, functions and settings quickly and easily.
The compact, lightweight, pistol-shaped design of this camera ensures that it can be used conveniently for long periods of time; whilst its robust casing makes it suitable for applications in rugged environments. The FLIR E8-XT Thermal Imaging Camera has been drop tested from 2m.
The FLIR E8-XT Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) is a cost-effective, comprehensive, compact and convenient alternative to traditional IR thermometers. It can also be used as a predictive maintenance tool and troubleshooting instrument, making it ideal for inspecting buildings and electrical and mechanical systems.
