Extech EX820 Clamp Meter + IR Thermometer

A unique digital clamp meter, the EX820 is packed full of advanced measurement functions.

The jaws of the EX820 are 1.7" (43mm) in size, making them suitable for use in accommodating conductors up 750MCM or two x 500MCM conductors. It can measure AC current levels from 0.1 to 1000A with high basic accuracy of ±2.5%. In addition to current measurements the EX820 is also capable of carrying out a selection of digital multimeter functions such as AC/DC voltage measurements from 0.1mV to 600V, resistance from 0.1 to 40MΩ, capacitance from 0.001nF to 40000μF, frequency from 0.001kHz to 4kHz and type K temperature measurements from -4 to 1400°F (-20 to 760°C).

One of the most unique features of this clamp meter is that it also includes a non-contact infrared thermometer built into the unit. This allows users to carry out temperature measurements without the need to actually touch a surface, making the EX820 an ideal product for evaluating the surface temperature of electrical components or other similar applications. IR temperature can be measured from a range of -58 to 518°F (-50 to 270°C).

The digital clamp meter is CAT III 600V safety rated.
