Extech EX830 1000A True RMS AC/DC Clamp Meter with IR Thermometer

The highest specification model available in Extech's EX800 range, the EX830 is a comprehensive solution for carrying out a wide selection of different measurement types.

The main additions to this model not found on other devices in the EX800 range are the devices' capabilities to carry out DC current measurements and DC zeroing. Like other models in the range it can perform AC current measurements to 1000A, AC/DC voltage measurements to 600V, resistance measurements to 40MΩ, capacitance measurements to 40000μF and frequency measurements to 4kHz. It also includes functionality for continuity, inrush and diode evaluations.

All of the EX800 range of clamp meters also come with in-built functions that allow them to measure temperature levels. It's possible to measure temperature either via a non-contact IR system integrated into the back of the clamp or alternatively temperature can be carried out via the use of a type-k thermocouple input.

The Extech EX830 is CAT III 600V safety rated.
