The Fluke i6000s flex 36 AC Current Clamp (600A) is an easy to use, portable clamp that can measure currents up to 6000 A . It is suitable for use with recorders, data loggers and oscilloscopes and has a flexible measuring head, which makes it idea for working in difficult to reach areas without breaking the circuit. The conductor has a diameter that can work up to 10.5ins (or 275mm) range.
The Fluke i6000 current clamp contains a Rogowski coil as the business end of the probe and has many advantages over traditional current transformers, which often contain an iron core. The Rogowski air core of the Fluke i6000 makes it responsive to fast changing currents without becoming affected by magnetic interference. This makes it suitable for use when you need to work with high currents and need to take accurate readings fast without the fear of readings being disrupted by electromagnetic interference.
The Fluke i6000 works on 2 X AA MN1500 (1.5V) LR6 batteries giving it a battery life of 400 hours running time and includes a red LED light function to warn when power is running low. It also has a permanent data logging function which means you can store vital information where you need it.
The Fluke i6000 flex current clamp is built to withstand a wide range of temperature variations and can be safely operated between minus 20 degrees to 85 degrees centigrade. In addition, this lightweight clamp weighs just 0.19g, so is ideal for long-term use in the toughest environments.
