Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor and Printer Details

The Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor is optimised for domestic boiler servicing and can be used to measure O₂, CO and NOx gases. It has been designed and tested in accordance with EN 50379, Parts 1-3.

The introduction of a new phase in the ErP directive means that it has become necessary to check the maximum nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions for all 400kW-rated domestic and commercial heating and hot water products; the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor provides a solution to this requirement.

Like other Testo 300 Flue Gas Analysers, this model is fitted with O₂ and CO (without H₂ compensation) sensors and can measure the following environmental parameters: 

  • O₂: 0 to 21 vol.%
  • CO: 0 to 4000ppm
  • Draught: -9.99 mbar to +40 mbar
  • Pressure: -100 mbar to +200 mbar
  • Temperature: -40°C to 1200°C

Similarly, with the addition of relevant probes and accessories, the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor can measure differential temperature, gas flow pressure and ambient CO, as well as perform gas pipe testing procedures. However; this instrument also includes an integrated NO (nitric oxide) sensor with a range of 0 to 3000ppm; together with an adjustable NO₂ (nitrogen dioxide) pre-set value, this Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser can be used to calculate the total NOx (nitrogen oxide). The Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor is able to convert NOx measurements into mg/kWh values allowing the user to see how the reading relates to the maximum NOx values specified by the ErP directive:

  • 56 mg/kWh for gas- and LPG-fired boilers
  • 120 mg/kWh for oil-fired boilers

Furthermore, the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor is equipped with a multi-functional handle facilitating the user’s ability to attach a variety of quick-change probe shafts (sold separately) to the unit. The user can measure flue gas pipes with larger diameters via the addition of a longer probe shaft; alternatively, he/she is able to check units located in awkward or difficult-to-reach places by attaching a flexible probe to the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor.

Also adding to this unit’s practicality is its integrated, extra-strong magnets. The Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor can be attached to a magnetic surface and held in place throughout the testing procedure, thereby freeing the user’s hands.  

Additionally, the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor has been optimised for use in challenging, rugged environments and as such features a robust, rubber protective case and a recessed, scratch-resistant screen covered by a protective film. Both the screen and protective film are replaceable, improving this instrument’s longevity.

All the necessary measurements and parameters can be viewed via the 5-inch HD display; the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor also includes clearly structured menus allowing the user to access and view all the required measurements. It is possible to print out measurements on-site via the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor’s Bluetooth® interface and using the supplied Testo IR/ Bluetooth Printer.

Alternatively, as the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor features the functionality of a smartphone or tablet, readings can be used to create reports on the unit and without the engineer having to leave the site. It is also possible to present professional reports to clients for signing as the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor includes a signature function. These capabilities increase work efficiency, add to this instrument’s convenience, and decrease the amount of paperwork.

Reports can be emailed to relevant persons via a WLAN interface; it is also possible to transfer data from the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor to an industry- or customer-specific software program. **

Alternatively, reports may be saved to the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser’s 32GB memory. It is possible to save up to 5000 records to the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser’s memory as well as information pertaining to various clients, including the customer’s details, the type of boiler, site records and retest dates. The Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor will alert the user when a client’s unit is due for a retest.

Client information, data and reports may be uploaded to the user’s PC and can be organised using the supplied Testo EasyHeat PC Analysis Software; this software can also be used to configure the Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser’s settings.

The smart-touch display makes it easy to access settings, create reports and record information. The Testo 300 Smart Flue Gas Analyser with NOx Sensor has the response time of a smartphone or tablet, again adding to its ease-of-operation and improving work efficiency.
