The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is a compact, flexible power supply with the ability to support analogue remote control.
PowerFlex Design
The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply has a total power output of 420W, a maximum voltage output of 60V, and a maximum current output of 20A. The PowerFlex design allows the user to set variable voltage and current combinations within the maximum power envelope and allows higher currents to be generated at lower voltages.
The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s output can operate in constant current or constant voltage mode with crossover and features a mode indicator and over-voltage protection.
To ensure low noise and a good transient response, the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s PowerFlex regulation system includes a high-frequency pre-regulator combined with a linear post regulator.
Fixed Power Supply
In addition to functioning as a flexible PSU, the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply can be used as a fixed power supply at 60V/7A and 20V/20A. The Fixed Power Supply mode ensures that the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply remains in constant current or constant voltage mode despite the load. Furthermore, when placed in this mode the resolution of the voltage and current controls is increased.
It is also possible to customise the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s voltage and current limits to ensure the PSU covers the range required for the application.
Analogue Control with Digital Stability
Using the fine and coarse voltage controls and a logarithmic current control (enabling accurate setting of low currents), the operator can set the required voltage and current outputs. Analogue control improves the ease of use of the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply, whilst the S-Lock function provides the stability and precision of digital operation.
When pressed, the S-Lock button transfers control of the voltage and current settings to the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s internal digital circuitry thereby preventing accidental adjustment or drift common to analogue meters. The S-Lock function means the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is equipped with both the simplicity and ease of analogue control as well as the stability and precision of digital operation.
Further to this, the user can view and alter settings as required by pressing the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s View Settings button.
Precision Metering and Remote Sense
Additionally, the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes a remote sense terminal at the output which enables precise regulation of the load and true metering of the load voltage. The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s remote sense terminal can be enabled and disabled as required.
Also adding to the precision and reliability of this PSU is its voltage and current meter with a four-digit display and a fixed 10mV/ 10mA resolution. The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s fixed resolution prevents results from being misinterpreted as is commonly the case with auto-ranging 3/3.5-digit meters. Additionally, the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s display allows the user to see accurate and consistent readings at a glance.
Ergonomic Design
The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is compact; it is housed in a ¼ rack width 3U high case. This makes the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply ideal for use on crowded laboratory benches and rack-mount applications.
The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also includes safety binding posts capable of accepting normal plugs, bare wires, and fork connectors as well as fixed-shroud 4mm plugs. Due to their limited opening length and insulated shoulders, these safety binding posts are touch-proof to 250V.
Isolated Analogue Remote Control
Finally, the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is equipped with a fully galvanically isolated voltage-driven remote control for both voltage and current. Additionally, master-slave configurations can be used as the Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s voltage and current front panel settings are provided as non-isolated control voltages.
The Aim-TTi CPX400SA Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is an accurate and adaptable fixed and flexible PSU capable of supporting remote analogue control.

When currents greater than 20A are required, the outputs can be wired in parallel to create the equivalent of a 40A power supply with the voltage controlled by the Master. Track Accuracy: Slave voltage = ± (0·1% of Master voltage setting + 10mV) |
Both On/ Both Off (CP400D & DP) | Each output has an independent DC On/Off control, however, an additional control button is provided which turns both outputs on or off simultaneously. |
