The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is a two-output flexible PSU capable of providing a fixed and flexible power supply.
PowerFlex Design
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s PowerFlex design provides variable voltage and current combinations within the maximum power envelope and allows higher currents to be generated at lower voltages. The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply has a maximum power output of 180W per channel (total power output: 360W), a maximum voltage output of 60V and a maximum current output of 10A.
Each of the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs can operate in constant voltage or constant current mode with automatic crossover. The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s channels also feature a mode indicator and over-voltage protection.
Furthermore, the PowerFlex regulation system utilises a high-frequency pre-regulator in combination with a linear post regulator to provide a good transient response and low noise.
Isolated Voltage Tracking
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs are independent and electronically isolated to enable greater flexibility.
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes a V-Track mode which disables the Slave voltage controls and sets the Slave voltage to the same level as the Master voltage whilst maintaining electrical isolation of the two channels. The V-track mode allows the user to generate two rails of either polarity which may be referenced to different grounds.
Alternatively, the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs can be wired in series or in parallel to increase the voltage and current outputs to 120V and 20A.
Output Control
In addition to independent On/ Off switches for each channel, the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply includes a Both On/ Both Off switch for activating and deactivating both channels simultaneously. The Both On/ Both Off switch is particularly useful when working on circuits that may be damaged if only one of the voltage rails is present.
Fixed Power Supply
This PSU also includes a Fixed Power Supply mode. In this mode, the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply provides a fixed power source. It ensures that the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply remains in constant current and constant voltage mode despite the load. Additionally, the resolution on the voltage and current controls becomes finer when the PSU is set to Fixed Power Supply mode.
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s voltage and current limits may be customised to cover the range required by the user’s application.
Analogue Control with Digital Stability
Each of the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s channels includes coarse and fine voltage controls and a logarithmic current control for setting low current levels accurately. The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply combines the ease of analogue control with the precision and stability of digital control. To this end, it includes an S-Lock button which transfers control of the voltage and current from the analogue dials to the internal digital circuitry. This ensures that settings are not subject to drift or accidental adjustment as is common with analogue meters.
The user can see and adjust settings as required by pressing the View Settings button.
Precision Metering and Remote Sense
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also includes a remote sense at the terminal of the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs to ensure precise regulation at the load and true metering of the load voltage. The remote sense terminals can be activated and deactivated as required.
Each of the Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply’s outputs features a dedicated voltage and current meter with a four-digit display and a fixed 10mV/ 10mA resolution. The fixed resolution prevents accidental misreading of results as is common with other auto-ranging 3/3.5-digit meters. The user is able to view accurate and consistent results at a glance.
Ergonomic Design
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is compact: it is housed in a ½ rack 3U case. It is ideal for use on crowded benches and up to two units can be fitted into a single rack slot.
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply also includes safety binding posts capable of accepting normal plugs, bare wires and fork connections as well as fixed-shroud 4mm plugs. Due to their limited length and raised insulated shoulders, the binding posts are touch-proof to 250V.
The Aim-TTi CPX200D Digital Bench/ System DC Power Supply is an ergonomic, easy-to-use and reliable flexible and fixed PSU.

Voltage Tracking Mode | The two outputs remain isolated, but the Slave voltage controls are disabled and the Slave voltage is set equal to the Master voltage. This can be used to generate tracking bipolar voltages, or tracking unipolar voltages relative to different grounds. When voltages greater than 60V are required, the outputs can be wired in series to generate 0 to 120V with the voltage controlled from the Master. When currents greater than 10A are required, the outputs can be wired in parallel to create the equivalent of a 20A power supply with the voltage controlled from the Master. Track Accuracy: Slave voltage = ± (0·1% of Master voltage setting + 10mV) |
Both On/ Both Off (CP400D & DP) | Each output has an independent DC On/Off control, however, an additional control button is provided which turn both outputs on or off simultaneously. |
Analogue Remote Interface (CPX400SA Only) | |
The CPX400SA offers galvanically isolated analogue remote control of voltage and current from control voltages. Voltage and current front panel settings generate non-isolated analogue output voltages that can be used to control slave power supplies. |
