A Morrisons store in Gloucestershire had to be evacuated yesterday after an electrical blaze was discovered.
The fire, although small in stature, was apparently caused by a faulty electrical box in the ceiling of the store.
Thankfully there weren’t many customers in the store as the local fire brigade was called out at around 9am, and the local fire fighters managed to quickly put out the blaze with a CO2 extinguisher before it caused too much damage.
Events such as this highlight the importance of getting your fixed wire testing completed regularly, as faulty electrical boxes, circuits and appliances can spark dangerous fires like this if left to fall into disrepair. Of course accidents happen, but we imagine there’ll be an investigation into what sparked the electrical box to catch fire by the fire brigade in the next few days.
