The NICEIC is helping both contractors and consumers prepare for the government’s Green Deal scheme by launching a new website this October.

www.yourgreendealhome.com is designed to be an easy access point for anyone wanting to learn about the Green Deal. Currently a lot of electricians aren’t convinced that the Green Deal will be beneficial, so hopefully this website will go some way towards convincing them otherwise.

“Low awareness will prevent consumer engagement with Green Deal, while a lack of clarity will prevent installers from entering the market,” says Mark Smith, group marketing manager at NICEIC.

“We hope this website will answer any questions that consumer or contractors might have. We believe that, after 10 minutes on the site, people will have a good idea of how the Green Deal could benefit them.”

The website is to feature a fully interactive, Green Deal home. This means users can browse the virtual space and find out what energy-saving measures are possible under the scheme. The site will also include a wealth of other information about the Green Deal for users to browse through.

It isn’t currently live, but watch out for the site as we go through October.
