This month will see the Electrical Times honouring contractors, apprentices, manufacturers and wholesalers from around the UK for their hard work over the past year at the Electrical Industry Awards.

This year’s event, which is set to take place on October 25th in London, is now accepting applications for their ‘Reader’s Award’, where one product will receive a special reward depending on how popular and innovative the product is.

According to the Electrical Times, they’re looking for products that “go beyond marginal improvements. We are looking to award a ground-breaking technological advance in all product categories that directly relates to the electrical industry – and has significantly improved the work of electrical contractors.”

To nominate a product, you need to send an up to 100 word nomination either by post or email. Your post should also say the name of the product’s manufacturer and the name of the product.

“Every year we look to improve upon the categories and I think this year we've done just that,” says Rodney Jack, editor, Electrical Times. “The Readers' Award is sure to spark debate in the electrical community. Let the voting begin.”
