A collage of photos of the Sales team bowling and playing arcade games sits on an orange background. In the middle large, white text on a transparent blue background reads 'Sales Go Bowling, Bowling, Bowling'.

Last month our highly competitive Sales Team (well, what do you expect?) went bowling. Read on to find out who came out on top...

Team building and we’re bowling, bowling, bowling, bowling. It was like a scene from the movie Kingpin ?

The sales team gather together for a photo next to their bowling alley. Chris M, Chris C, Lewis and Gary (holding a cut-out of Steve's head) sit while Claire holding a yellow bowling ball and Dave holding a cut-out of Steve's head stand at the back.

It was great to finally get out with the team and blow the cobwebs off after the last few years [...] When you're greeted by smiling faces, you start to realise how much it means to be out together as a team!

Anyways, on with the night...

We picked team names to kick the games off with a bit of fun. Please don’t read too much into these names; it’s just normal day-to-day team banter ?

Unfortunately, we were missing one of our team members whose name would have been Living the Dream; I’m sure you can all guess who that was. Not to worry though, we made sure he was there in spirit and "he" wasted no time at all in getting stuck in the action shots. In fact, he binned off the bowling and was more interested in having his photo taken. ? Popping up everywhere he was!

The name for these exercises is "team building", but like any of these events, it sometimes escalates into some light-hearted competition once the scores show on the board. It was big Chris smashing the pins in the first game. So, for the next round, the pound bets came out!

A hand holding £1 is held out over a collection of bowling balls in a variety of colours.

I will let you look at the final scoreboard to see who came out with the brass tax. ?

Everyone, in the end, had a great time. The star of the night had to be Claire who normally has the barriers up when playing but managed both games without barriers and hit her highest scores ever - that’s what it’s really about! ??‍♂️⭐

Claire celebrates getting a strike with her hands in the air.

The phrase of the night was "couldn't have hit it any better", meaning you bowled the ball on point but only knocked one pin down. Work that out!

A concerned-looking Gary walks away from the bowling alley. Orange text super-imposed over his t-shirt reads "I couldn't hit it any better though, could I boss?"

As far as bowling goes for team building, we’d highly recommend it! You get good value for money: two games, drinks, and snacks. Just look online for deals.

After the bowling, you can always hit the arcades for a little more fun! ?
