At the left of the image is a picture of the marketing team posing in the Hex escape room. From left to right: Calum, Stacey, Jess, Katie, Stuart, Rachael. Jess is holding a board with the team's name, "No Joy Division", in the centre above Cluedini's name and logo. On the right of the image, large orange text on a purple background reads "Marketing Marvels Their Way Out Of Witch's Lair". In the top left and right corners of the image are orange spiderwebs. At the bottom left of the orange text is a black, cartoon witch flying on a broomstick.

Having tackled the Marketing Team’s collective acrophobia, we decided that confronting our claustrophobia during peak cold and flu (and presumably Covid) season was the way to go with our second team-building experience. That’s why, before Christmas, we chose to take on Cluedini’s Hex escape room. We had just sixty minutes to solve the clues, crack padlocks, and find the crystals and spells needed to prevent a local witch from unleashing her curse on Yarm as revenge for her great-grandmother’s unlawful killing. The stakes were high!

A black and white image. Witch's hands with long nails hold a piece of torn, burned parchment. On the parchment, a poem in orange text reads "Double, double toil and trouble;
One hour to solve the puzzle.
Bones, potions, ghosts, and candles,
Clues to be unravelled.
Brains of six and sense of none,
It’s a miracle we won.
Only six minutes to spare,
We gave that witch quite a scare.
Teamwork, wit, and wilfulness,
These were keys to our success.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Obviously we solved that puzzle!"

“I really enjoyed the escape room and its witchy theme. I’m glad I had the team to help or I’d probably still be in there!”

- Katie, Marketing Manager

“Enjoyable experience, everyone was able to pitch in to escape the witch!”

- Stuart, Product Data Entry Administrator

“At first, I was pretty unimpressed at the fact I had to spend an hour locked in a room on a cold winter’s night with these lot, but by the end, riding on the highs of solving clues and cracking codes, it wasn't half as bad as I thought, who knew our team actually had a brain cell between us! It was a great evening, fantastic for team building, and I’d recommend it to anybody looking to do an escape room.”

- Rachael, Graphic Designer

“I have to say, I was really surprised with how much fun it was! It was the Witch’s #*&s. It’s just a good job I was there with my superior intelligence, or else everybody would still be locked in.”

- Calum, Online Marketing Manager

“The Cluedini Hex escape room was a great team-building experience because you have no choice but to work together. It clearly demonstrates the benefits of team work and the advantages of having people who think differently on one team. More than that, it was incredibly fun. I would highly recommend a Cluedini escape room, not just as a team-building exercise, but for a family day out, as a challenge to take on with friends, or as a party activity.”

- Jess, Content Editor

“It was scary good.”

- Stacey, Web Developer
