To the right of the image large white text reads "PASS Walking Club Goes to the Seaside". It sits on a photo background of a sandy beach. In the bottom right of the image is a circular photo of the Walking Club taking a selfie together on a stone pavement by the Seaside. The selfie is framed by a grey circular border.

For their first outing PASS' Walking Club chose to amble through Guisborough Woods. On that occasion, the weather was glorious and a great time was had by all. Club President Carole tells us that the second outing, this time a walk by the seaside, played out slightly differently, although it was every bit as fun! Below is her roundup of our resilient ramblers' rainy ramble.

Waking up on Sunday morning to horrendous rain is enough to put anyone off walking from Redcar to Markse - but not us toughies ?

Tony, an older mad in a white hat and red raincoat, stands behind a small stone wall surrounded by grass and flowers. On the wall is a sign that reads "Welcome to Maske By The Sea Please Drive Carefully".

After completing 5 miles (8km) we treated ourselves to a well-earned bag of chips and a lemon top on Redcar's Seafront.

A phot of a sandy beach. Rows of wooden flood defences run down the beach to the sea. The tide is out and in the distance a few people can be seen walking their dogs. The sky is a block of grey cloud.

Thankfully the rain stopped and left us with a glorious day! In fact, Helen got a bit of a sun tan!

Tony's head and torso are in the foreground as he is taking a selfie of himself and the rest of the group stood behind him (from left to right: Charlotte, Sue, Carole, Sally, Harry, Helen and Noah). The group stood on a stone pathway. To the left of them is a road and to the right of them are the grassy tops of cliffs. The sky is grey but everyone is smiling.

Thank you to everyone. It was great fun and lovely to see you and your families.
